Embracing the joy of travel has been a passion of mine.
The simple delight of waking up in a new location, delving into fresh encounters, and observing how different cultures experience their daily lives intrigues me. This passion has naturally evolved into a career in travel.
Having had the opportunity to explore 57 countries (so far!), and traverse every state of Australia, I've developed a deep fondness for sharing my stories. Whether through the channels of social media, blogs, articles, or even in the course of casual conversations, I've enjoyed the domain of travel storytelling.
Guiding others to create their own travel experiences has been the reason for my journey.
This trajectory has encompassed roles spanning from a travel agent to a blogger, an influencer with a passion for photography, and now, thanks to Morris Journalism Academy, travel journalist.
Learning about how the industry works was the part of the course I valued the most. It has given me a structured framework to follow as a travel writer, a departure from my previous ad hoc dabbling. I now have a clearer direction and defined goal.
Each assignment was challenging yet fulfilling. Whilst I have a wealth of travel experiences to draw upon, turning them into engaging and enticing stories hasn't always been easy. Nevertheless, the feedback I received was considerate and geared towards helping me improve and grow as a travel journalist.
I've found particular satisfaction in combining my newfound writing skills with my passion for photography. This fusion has allowed me to create articles that are not only well-written but also visually appealing, resulting in the perfect travel story.
I have acquired the confidence to present my work to the world, and I am pleased to report I have published a number of articles to date in various media outlets, including Out and About with Kids and Traveltalk magazines.
My favourite articles have been added below:

Several stories are buzzing in my mind, ready to be written and shared. I'm looking forward to seeing them in print and published. I've got my eye on the next media outlet I want to approach and have my story proposals prepared. All due to the guidance and direction I learned while completing the travel journalism course.
